  1. LOL @ "I have a friend who was in the Lollipop Guild" . . .

  2. He improvised that and most of his other lines, too!

  3. Perfect! It's really not that complicated.

  4. Now you see, you really should have taken the vegetables and fashioned a ladder out of carrots and parsnips.
    It's the only way.

  5. "It's really not that complicated" I think it's all very complicated compared to such a portrayal.

  6. Bev,

Yet another brilliant video. These are so simple and yet so effective.

You ticked most of the boxes, the only thing I think you missed might be the notion that "bad parenting" can cause shortness. I've heard that a lot too.

    Brilliant. Really Brilliant.

    Thanks.

  7. Gavin Bollard,

The idea that bad parenting causes shortness has long been discredited. Today we know that the bad parents are the ones who do not devote their lives and incomes to curing their children of shortness.

    Thank you for your comments.

  8. How dare you! I am only five foot one and a half and you laugh about this serious disease of shortness?! My mother was wise enough to try Jumping Therapy. I've been doing it 40 hours a week for the past year and even though I haven't grown even a fraction of an inch and have gone to bed tired, my family is still hoping. And please, donate to Midgets Speak. Their advocacy efforts have done a great service to the world.

  9. Love the video! It makes the point so well ... inclusion doesn't have to be complicated.

  10. Do you really think "inclusion" can help with the disease that is shortness? How can I reach things on my own unless I have someone who can get them for me? This a serious problem in functioning that needs research and immediate action!
*Disclaimer: Before anyone starts thinking that I am taking that "shortness is a disease" thing literally, this comment and my previous one are supposed to be satirical lampoons of curebies who getting their briefs in a knot trying to donate to Autism Speaks, spread "autism awareness," and make sure that their kids are "indistinguishable from their peers." I'm saying this because people are ignoring me like I'm a curebie troll or something.

  11. This is delightful! Thank you so much.

One request: can the captions be on screen a little bit longer? It seems like now they slowly go from nothing to bright and then dim back down to nothing; if they could be all-bright that entire time, they'd be more readable.

  12. This video doesn't discuss the worst aspect of shiortness - its destruction of families. My father suffers from shortness, and this is obviously the cause of everything that has ever gone wrong in my life. My ex would not have left me if I'd had a father without shortness. I wouldn't have been bullied in school if my father hadn't suffered from shortness. I wouldn't have stubbed my toe this morning if I'd had a tall father.

  13. @sanabituranima: Lol. Your satirical comment just made my day.

    Oh, oh, oh!

I broke my toe last New Year's Eve and hobbled on a cane for several weeks because of it. Did that happen because your father was short too?

I had NO idea! So many aspects of my life are suddenly explained now!

    LOL!

  15. I love these videos you create! You're a genius! ;)

  16. Nicki,
Thanks very much, but the credit should go to my talented co-workers who have been generous enough to act in these.

    Andrea S.,
Are you sure your own dad wasn't maybe just a little short?

    Sadderbutwisergirl,
Squawk! We know you are not a troll!

  17. All those short people think that they have problems. Try being tall for a while. Bumping your head on low ceilings and try fitting in those economy cars when your over 6 feet. How about taking an over seas flight in coach with your knees under your chin for 9 hours, not to mention the airplane restrooms. Of course there is always that thing you need/want from the bottom of the refrigerator that you have to laydown on the florr to reach. The worst part about it is that nobody thinks that it's a problem, they all think that tall people have been "blessed with the gift of height". So far I've never heard of any treatment that doesn't include amputation...

    Nice work Bev

  18. I appreciate that you caption these videos. My soundcard is busted and isn't likely to be repaired in the near future.

  19. I second the appreciation. I have difficulty processing sound and captions really help me with getting the message.

  20. Hi!

This is a great video and I love it. I'm going to share this! And thank you for the captions, they really helped!

  21. Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha

    I can't stop laughing. X'D

    You made my day Bev!
