This is a great carry-around fidget toy called Klixx. I got mine from ozmofun.com. They also sell the spinning prism disc in the second picture. Ozmo Fun is a small company which keeps its markup low and thus prices very reasonable, a rarity for any business marketing to autistics and their families.
Charlie the Poltergeist (a Jack Russel terrier) likes stimmy toys too. Although once he is done they are pretty stimmed out.
Charlie's job is to alert me to changes in my environment. If there are none he will amuse himself with any stimmy toys of mine plus his own canine ones.
Hmmmmmmm. Ozmo fun donates some proceeds to "autism organizations", eh? Dare I look? I'm still reeling from my Starbucks boycott . . . I don't have the guts to look . . .
(Also try Fat Brain Toys . . . they're a much bigasser company, but they have really cool stuff and very attentive customer service.)
Uh oh. Didn't notice that, E. You can get Klixx other places, but that spinning disc thingy, that's really hard to find! I've met the owner of this company (actually made my purchases at a conference, not online) so I'll find out about these "organizations" and see if she is open to alternative causes (by alternative, of course, I mean those which would support our continued existence).
Please do, Bev, and post when you find out. I assumed you already had, and was all set to make an order with them, but now I'm going to wait until I know where those donations are going first.
Hi! This is OZMO! Yeah, I donate to autism causes. I love donating to those groups which work with adults and want to improve their fun factor. I mostly donate in toys-we are a small family operation. My adult son has autism and OCD and it breaks my heart when he says his life hasn't been happy. So, that is my goal. I try to not donate to the big groups or the one-issue groups. And someday I will earn a profit! Love to you all. Have fun! Dee
I'm glad you stopped by. That's good to hear regarding the toy donations. The organizations that want to see an end to autism are not popular with readers here. I like to do posts about toys, so you may see more of your stuff featured here during the Christmas season.
I want the toy in the top pic, where can I get one?
ReplyDeleteROFLMAO :D
